WELLS — Anna Elizabeth Shaw, age 85, passed away on April 11, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born in Bronx, New York on July 4, 1932, a daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (McGovern) Houlihan.

She attended St. Pius Catholic School in the Bronx, New York until eighth grade and then got her GED at Old Orchard Beach High School on June 25, 1978.

She is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Adjutant and her husband Michael Adjutant; two sons, Christopher Shaw and John Shaw; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother Denny Houlihan.

She is predeceased by her husband, Gary F. Shaw, and her sister Helen M. Cohen.

She was very devoted to her family.  She loved cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting, making quilts, bowling and painting.  She worked at Keslin Shoe, the Five and Dime, Morningstar, Ames Dept. Store, and a few other places.

At the family’s request there will be a graveside service at Goodwin’s Mills Village Cemetery in Lyman, at a later date.
