SOUTH PORTLAND — A quirky fashion show, a beer garden, and the opportunity to board a U.S. Coast Guard vessel will be among the activities when the Knightville Festival returns for a fifth year Aug. 18.

The event at Thomas Knight Park, at the end of Ocean Street beneath the Casco Bay Bridge, is sponsored by South Portland businesses and the city Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department.

Activities will include Paint in the Park from 3-5 p.m., with participants creating art on the spot, and kids’ activities from 3-6 p.m. Food trucks will be on hand from 3-8 p.m., and Foulmouthed Brewing will operate a beer garden from 4:30-8 p.m.

A fashion show with models wearing designs made of tablecloths is slated to begin at 5 p.m. and will last about a half hour.

The Coast Guard will offer small boat tours from 4-7 p.m., as well as a “Coastie the Tugboat” demonstration, also from 4-7 p.m.

The Chad Porter Band will provide entertainment from 6-8 p.m.
