I’ve paid scant attention to the Shawn Moody campaign, knowing he’s had no experience in and knows nothing about working in state government. He has Paul LePage’s daughter as his campaign manager and other LePage lackeys pulling his strings and telling him what to do and say. Edgar Allen Beem’s column comparing Moody to Howdy Doody was apt, amusing and informative.
Here’s what puzzles me about the piece, however. After providing so many negatives about Moody’s phoniness and lack of authenticity, Beem repeats in the last sentence that he’s “a really decent guy.” No, he’s not. Beem showed that’s he’s not in what he wrote in what preceded that last sentence.
