PARSONSFIELD — A Parsonsfield man who allegedly threw a bottle at a sheriff’s deputy was arrested on Sunday for criminal threatening and reckless conduct.

York County sheriff deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance  on Elm Street in Parsonsfield at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to a press release from York County Sheriff William King Jr.

The callers reporting the alleged incident said they were leaving the Elm Street residence and arranged to meet with deputies at a different location, King said.

Deputies interviewed the complainants, who alleged that Jason Goan, 32, of Parsonsfield, was causing a disturbance and threatened to harm them, according to King.

Deputies approached the residence cautiously and heard yelling and screaming, said King. Goan was outside and upon seeing the approaching deputy, threw a bottle at him, nearly striking him. Goan was subsequently arrested.

Goan was charged with criminal threatening and reckless conduct.  His bail was set at $600 and he is scheduled to be arraigned today at 1 p.m.
