Mark Kaye Johnston, age 64, died in Richmond, Maine, on Oct. 25, 2018. Mark was the son of Sonia Kaye Johnston and Thomas Finney Johnston.

He graduated from Yarmouth High School in 1972 and from the University of Maine, Orono in 1977 with an accounting degree.

Mark was the CFO at Kennebec Valley Community Action Program where he had worked since 1997. Three of his many projects were Gerald Hotel senior housing project, Cony Village, and Educare Central Maine. Prior to that he had been in banking for 20 years, mostly with Key Bank.

Besides enjoying time with his family, Mark loved golfing, snowmobiling, the Red Sox. What he was most known for was his love for boating. Mark devoted time to many community organizations: Boy Scouts of America, Genesis Community Loan Fund in Bath, Richmond Eldercare Coalition (as founding member and president), and Richmond Area Health Center.

Predeceased by his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Pamela Vokes Johnston, son Chad Johnston, daughter Sarah Johnston, grandsons Ben and Jeremy Johnston, and siblings Maureen Johnston and Michael Johnston and their families.
