Madison Keezer enjoyes a laugh with friend, Serafina Fontana, 7 of Cape Elizabeth. Cape resident Gail Parker, top photo, is chairman for the church’s board of trustees, as well as the church’s organist. She said the church received a grant from the United Methodist Foundation of New England for the event – during which children play games and watch movies – as well as for outreach activities. They held the first event in October, and will be host events every first Friday of the month through winter. “There’s so few places in Cape for kids to hang out and play,” Parker said, “and we got things for all different ages, with the exception of Twister. The elderly like me said ‘Uhh, I’m not going to be doing Twister.’” Garrick Hoffman photo
