CUMBERLAND — The Greely High School girls’ lacrosse team darted out to an early lead and downed Morse, 16-4, on Saturday.

The Rangers led 10-3 at the half. 

Brooke Clement tallied four goals and three assists in the win, while Sam Goldburg picked up three goals and an assist. Adding two goals each were Elsa Dean-Muncie, Sarah Traister and Natalie Mullin. 

Morse (1-1) received a goal each from Sydney Moore, Rosa Atienza, Kylie Grendell and Mary Carpenter, with Emma Roth Wells adding an assist. 

In goal, Greely’s Hannah Perfetti turned away seven shots, with Morse’s Abby Sreden making four saves. 

Greely held a 19-1 advantage in draw controls.

Morse gets back into action on Tuesday at home against Messalonskee (5:15 p.m.). 

NYA 13, Mt. Ararat 3

Margaret Holt recorded three goals and five assists to lead the Panthers (2-1) over the Eagles (1-2) in Yarmouth on Saturday.

Natalie Farrell scored four goals, and Helen Hamblett had four assists. Allyson White made 12 saves for NYA.

Erin Harty had two goals for Mt. Ararat, and Jessica Cloutier added one.

Boys lacrosse

BATH — Henry Honkonen scored four goals and assisted on three, leading Marshwood (3-0) past Mt. Ararat (2-2), 10-2, at McMann Field. 

Cooper Ross added three goals, and Cullen Casey had a goal and three assists on Saturday.

Mt. Ararat is slated to host Morse on Thursday at 8 p.m. The game will be played at Bowdoin College.
