BRUNSWICK – Lenwood Ira Brown Jr, 68, of Brunswick went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 5, 2019. He was born on May 21, 1951 in Brunswick, Maine, the son of Lenwood and Sylvia (Toothaker) Brown.
Lenwood was raised in the Phippsburg area, finishing his education there, and then later began his career at Bath Iron Works running overhead cranes indoors for 8 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Gary and Timothy Brown.
He is survived by his siblings, Marion Owen of Brunswick; Sterling Brown and wife Sharon of Phippsburg; Katherine Brown of Brunswick; Christi Wood and husband Malcolm of Topsham; Peter Brown of Maine; Susan Walker of Lewiston; close friend Jeannie Wallace of Brunswick; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews; close friends Judy and Norman from Creekside; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Maine Street Baptist Church in Brunswick. Committal prayers will take place at Cranberry Horn Cemetery at a later date.
