Springvale Public Library will be hosting a book discussion series, running from September to early January, called “Let’s Talk About It.”

Hayden Anderson, with the Maine Humanities Council, is offering this once-a-month book discussion, focused on five books by five Maine authors. Each book will help give a different perspective of Maine. The group will be discussing how Maine society has evolved over time.

The first meeting is on Friday, Sept. 13 (all following meetings will be back on Thursdays) with The Country of the Pointed Firs by Sarah Orne Jewett at noon. There will be a potluck lunch.
