Tuesday’s predicted winter storm prompted MaineHealth to announce it would close three of its COVID vaccine clinics Tuesday and delay the opening of several others.
The hospital and health care network announced on its website Monday that vaccine clinics in Belfast, Boothbay and Norway will be closed Tuesday because of the expected wintry weather. Clinics in Westbrook and Scarborough will delay opening until 8:30 a.m. and the Brunswick clinic will open at 2:30 p.m., according to the website. Clinics in Farmington and North Conway, New Hampshire, will be open for regular hours.
The storm is expected to bring snow, sleet or freezing rain to coastal areas, while more snow with some sleet inland.
People whose Tuesday vaccine appointments are impacted by the closings and delays will get a call from MaineHealth staff to reschedule. For more information and answers to vaccine questions, go to MaineHealth.org.
