Recently, on the national scene, Tim Scott has come under fire from the Democrats. Tim Scott is Black. He is a Republican senator. He admits racism exists but says the country is not systemically racist. He also refuses to be a victim and that, along with being a Republican, is what has upset the Washington Democrats. They and the media have vehemently admonished him for not accepting their narrative.
Tim Scott has chosen to rise above the victimization of racism and he has succeeded. He recognized the opportunities available to him in his country and took advantage of those opportunities in spite of racism.
You see, if you’re a victim, you’ll need help. (Apparently, no one can make it on their own.) So, the Democrats are more than willing to help, by offering food stamps, Medicaid, housing allowances and unemployment. And you, in turn, can thank them by voting Democrat. Democrats are counting on it.
Sen. Tim Scott is proof that the American dream is alive and well, and exist for everyone, no matter the color of one’s skin. This is a narrative that Tim Scott embraced. It is a narrative that Washington Democrats refuse to acknowledge.
