The Friends of Congress Square Park will host the inaugural Congress Square Market Sunday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The market in Congress Square Park, at the intersection of High and Congress streets, will feature products from neighborhood businesses and Portland-area artists, as well as coffee from the Buzz Coffee Cart.

“Going into the season, we recognized our role as a uniquely well-equipped outdoor venue and made it a priority to help our neighborhood businesses ramp up their operations,” said Friends of Congress Square Park Executive Director C.J. Opperthauser. “To stay vibrant and active, a good urban public space relies on nearby businesses, so it’s a no-brainer for us.”

The market is sponsored by Handiwork studio + market.
