SOUTH PORTLAND —Jonah Eng tallied four goals and two assists to lead Falmouth to a 9-6 win over South Portland in a boys’ lacrosse game Thursday.
Rory Skillin added two goals and Wyatt Kerr had a goal and an assist for Falmouth (7-0).
CJ Marenghi made 18 saves for South Portland (0-9). Joey Soucy scored three goals.
ERSKINE ACADEMY 6, LINCOLN ACADEMY 5: Michael Nicholas had two goals and three assists as Erskine (1-8) beat Lincoln (1-4) in triple overtime at South China.
Austin Nicholas added two goals, and Nathan Grenier and Brady Kirkpatrick got a goal apiece for Erskine.
Wyatt Banks led Lincoln with four goals. Garrett Day had a goal and an assist and Will Farrell made seven saves.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
YORK 12, MARSHWOOD 11: Rose Pavuk scored five goals and Clara Pavuk added three as the Wildcats (6-1) edged the Hawks (7-2) at South Berwick.
Natalie Singer scored four goals for Marshwood. Eva Moreland contributed three goals and three assists.
BRUNSWICK 14, MORSE 3: Elizabeth Putnam scored three goals and had an assist to lead the Dragons (6-3) past the Shipbuilders (2-7) in Brunswick.
Gia Guernelli also had three goals, while Kiki Densmore, Emily Cloutier and Kelsie Carlton each added two for the Dragons. Gwen Thom and Ella Gustafson were the other goal scorers.
Mary LaRochelle paced Morse with two goals and an assist. Althea Rogenes got the other goal and Olivia Chabot made eight saves.
FALMOUTH 15, LEWISTON 3: Avi Fishman, Abigail Blakeman, Eva Clement and Whit Adams each scored twice as Falmouth (7-2) rolled to a win at Lewiston (5-2).
Charlotte Gastonguay scored two goals for Lewiston.
SOFTBALL
PORTLAND 16, DEERING 2: Hannah Hawkes had three hits and five RBI, and Jordan King belted a two-run homer and an RBI double as the Bulldogs (4-6) handled the visiting Rams (0-9).
Cassadie Armstrong pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks. She also hit a solo home run.
BRUNSWICK 7, EDWARD LITTLE 3: The Dragons (8-3) used a six-run second inning to beat the Red Eddies (4-6) in Brunswick.
Sophia Morin led Brunswick with an RBI single and a double. Winning pitcher Ellie Sullivan struck out seven.
Edward Little got three hits from Maddie Emmert and two from Hannah Smith.
BASEBALL
SANFORD 9, TRAIP ACADEMY 3: Justin Gould and T.J. Curley each had three hits and two RBI for the Spartans (4-5) in a win over the Rangers (1-7) in Kittery.
Gould hit a single, a double and a triple, while Curley singled twice and doubled.
Winning pitcher Dan Williams allowed a hit and two earned runs in five-plus innings.
Frankie Driscoll singled, doubled and scored twice for Traip. Emerson Brown reached base four times and had an RBI single.
CAPE ELIZABETH 5, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Colin Smith hit an RBI double and Jake Tinsman added an RBI single during a three-run third inning as the Capers (6-5) beat the Seagulls (4-7) in Old Orchard Beach.
Smith also had a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Patrick O’Brien earned the win with four scoreless innings.
OOB got its runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Gavin Sperlich and an infield single by Peter Colman.
