We don’t have to wonder why there is such a divide between the folks who identify as Democrats and as Republicans when you hear the statements that were uttered by our very own Sen. Susan Collins last week, regarding the seating of the next Supreme Court justice, specifically: “This time there is no need for any rush. We can take our time, have hearings, go through the process, which is a very important one. It is a lifetime appointment, after all.”
This is blatantly partisan since, during the last administration, not one but three justices were seated. The last one, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, was confirmed in late 2020, just 30 days after her nomination was announced!
Maine deserves honest representation! How much longer do we have to listen to Susan Collins’ lies?
