Evan Legassey tied the game with a 3-pointer late in regulation, then made a go-ahead 3-pointer in the second overtime as Deering earned an 84-78 boys’ basketball win Saturday against Hampden Academy.

Legassey finished with 22 points, and Alex Willings had 24 points and 14 rebounds. Titayo Augusto chipped in with 15 points for Deering (7-9), which has won three in a row.

Zach McLaughlin scored 34 points for Hampden (2-14). Landon Gabric added 20.

YARMOUTH 57, FREEPORT 42: Peter Psyhogeos scored 23 points and Matt Waeldner added 14 to lead the Clippers (13-3) past the Falcons (9-6) in Yarmouth.

Freeport led 15-9 after one quarter, but the Clippers rallied for a 25-23 halftime advantage on a Waeldner 3-pointer and his layup just before the buzzer.

Three free throws from Blaine Cockburn after a foul at the buzzer pulled Freeport within 39-35 going into the fourth quarter, but Yarmouth opened on a 9-0 run to put it away.

Cockburn finished with 12 points, while Tony Casale had 10 for the Falcons.

FALMOUTH 79, GREELY 47: The Navigators (13-2) took control with a 25-4 first-half run in a victory over the Rangers (8-7) at Cumberland.

Falmouth led 14-13 after one quarter before outscoring Greely 31-10 in the second. The Navigators forced 15 turnovers in the first half and finished with 21 offensive rebounds.

Falmouth was led by Judd Armstrong and Brady Coyne with 19 points apiece and Jack Stowell with 14.

Greely got 10 points from Andrew St. Hilaire.

WINDHAM 42, BANGOR 38: Nick Garrison scored 13 points and the Eagles (3-13) used a 14-2 fourth quarter to rally past the Rams (6-9) at Bangor.

Landon Clark and Brayden Caron had nine points apiece for Bangor.

BONNY EAGLE 52, SANFORD 49: Eliot Bouchard scored 15 points and Terrell Edwards added 14 as the Scots (9-6) erased a nine-point deficit to defeat the Spartans (10-3) at Standish.

Aidan Walcott contributed 11 points.

Justin Kennedy scored 23 points for Sanford. Makai Bougie had 11.

LAKE REGION 52, WAYNFLETE 47: Jacob Stone scored 17 points and Jacob Chadbourne added 15 as the Lakers (10-8) came from behind to edge the Flyers (6-9) at Naples.

Noah Duprey helped with 10 points.

Henry Hart led Waynflete with 12 points. Nico Kirby and Matt Adey each scored 11.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 60, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 54: William Hallam scored 14 points, Bobby Hallam added 13, and the Raiders (7-9) survived a big fourth-quarter comeback to beat the Patriots (10-7) in overtime at Gray.

Jay Hawkes scored 26 points for Gray-New Gloucester, which erased a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 76, SACOPEE VALLEY 43: Landen Johnson scored 21 points to power the Seagulls (10-5) past the Hawks (3-12) at Old Orchard Beach.

Ricky Delisle chipped in with 15 points.

Grady Cummings paced Sacopee with 13 points. Carson Black had 11.

CAPE ELIZABETH 68, POLAND 47: Owen Tighe put in 20 points and Will Bowe had 18 to help the Capers (10-7) defeat the Knights (6-10) in Poland.

Hunter Gibson led the Knights with 17 points. Hayden Christner scored 11.

WESTBROOK 50, MORSE 36: Tyler Hethcoat scored 15 points and Braden Pierce added 14 to lead the Blue Blazes (6-8) to a win over the Shipbuilders (5-8) in Bath.

Gabe Aucoin scored 20 points for Morse.

SCARBOROUGH 64, NOBLE 39: Rowan McDonald got 15 of his 20 points in the first half as the Red Storm built a 38-23 lead on the way to a win over the Knights (0-15) at Scarborough.

Liam Garriepy had 15 points for Scarborough. Reid Deniso added 12 points and eight rebounds.

KENNEBUNK 99, BRUNSWICK 71: Keegan Andrews hit seven 3-pointers on the way to 28 points as the Rams (10-5) outpaced the Dragons (3-12) in Brunswick.

Connor Keefe scored 18 points, Landon Schwartzman tallied 17 and Joseph Kiezulas added 15 points for Kennebunk.

Thomas Harvey led Brunswick with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Quinten McCaffrey made five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points. Ethan Driscoll scored 11.

EDWARD LITTLE 72, CHEVERUS 60: John Shea poured in 37 points to lead the Red Eddies (14-2) past the Stags (7-8) in Portland.

EL also got 16 points from Pat Anthoine and 10 from Hamza Sheikh.
