Scarborough closed with a 23-8 advantage in the fourth quarter and escaped with a 45-32 victory at Deering on the final night of the girls’ basketball regular season Thursday.

Trailing 24-22 after three quarters, the Red Storm (14-4) rallied for their 12th win in their last 14 games. Scarborough will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Class AA South tournament.

Caroline Hartley led Scarborough with 18 points, while Lindsay Fiorillo contributed 11.

Maya Gayle scored 12 points for Deering (3-15).

PORTLAND 52, SOUTH PORTLAND 49: Eliza Stein hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to lift the Bulldogs (4-14) over the Red Riots (5-13) at South Portland.

The shot came after Portland stole the ball near midcourt. Stein unleashed it from about 10 feet beyond the 3-point line.

Naulissa Tuza scored 18 points for Portland, which trailed 32-27 through three quarters but used an 11-0 run in the fourth to help force overtime.

Ruth Boles led South Portland with 18 points.

GORHAM 64, NOBLE 44: Leah Woodbury scored 17 points, helping the Rams (15-3) pull away from the visiting Knights (2-16) in the second half.

The Rams, who will enter the Class AA South tournament as the top seed, led just 28-24 at halftime before taking command against the Knights, who will be seeded eighth and will face Gorham again in the quarterfinals next week.

Sophia Michaud added 12 points and Brylee Bishop had 10 for Gorham.

Emily Clark led Noble with 17.

MT. ARARAT 56, BRUNSWICK 46: Morgan Ruff had 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Eagles (12-6) in a win over the Dragons (16-2) at Topsham.

Elsa Daulerio added 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

Brunswick’s Logan Brown finished with 25 points, including the 1,000th of her career.

SANFORD 46, THORNTON ACADEMY 39: Riley Hebler hit five 3-pointers on the way to 23 points and the Spartans (7-11) rallied in the second half to defeat the Golden Trojans (13-5) at Saco.

The Spartans trailed 20-17 at halftime, then went on a 14-5 run in the third quarter.

Hannah Cook led the Trojans with 16 points. Jess Dow had 13.

MASSABESIC 51, BONNY EAGLE 30: Micaela Jacobs and Mary Duffy combined for 15 points in the second quarter to fuel a 21-7 run as the Mustangs (13-5) defeated the Scots (6-13) at Waterboro.

Jacobs finished with 15 points and Duffy had 13.

Ember Hastings scored eight points for Bonny Eagle.

FALMOUTH 58, KENNEBUNK 34: Sloane Ginevan powered the Navigators (13-5) with 22 points in a win over the Rams (0-15) at Kennebunk.

Anna Turgeon dropped in four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for Falmouth, which led 25-11 after one quarter and 43-19 at halftime.

Kennebunk’s Ruby Sliwkowski scored 17 points.

OCEANSIDE 81, MT. VIEW 40: The Mariners (16-0) broke the contest open with a 28-12 advantage in the second quarter, highlighted by 11 points from Audrey MacKie, as they rolled past the Mustangs (7-11) at Rockland.

MacKie finished with 30 points, draining eight buckets from 3-point range. Bailey Breen tossed in 24 points.

Kricka Thompson scored 13 points and Hannah Coolen had 10 for Mt. View.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 86, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 17: Charlotte Harper-Cunningham scored 18 points, all on 3-pointers, as the Panthers (14-2) downed the Guardians (10-6) at Yarmouth.

NYA led 37-7 at halftime. Graca Bila finished with 17 points, Athena Gee scored 11, Lila Jackson had 10 and Angel Huntsman made three 3-pointers.

Breckyn Winship scored 10 points for Seacoast.

RANGELEY 64, PINE TREE ACADEMY 33: Winnie LaRochelle poured in 29 points for the Lakers (10-3) in a win over the Breakers (8-10) at Rangeley.

Rangeley’s Emily Eastlack contributed 15 points and Cheyanne Avery scored 11.

For Pine Tree, Paige Tyson scored 15 points and Ishell Maitland had 13.
