Glenn Hallett Reed Jr.

WESTBROOK – Glenn Hallett Reed Jr., 81, passed away at Maine Medical Center on March 15, 2022, after a long illness. Glenn was born in 1940, a son of Glenn and Marion (Erskine) Reed. He graduated from Deering High School where he was a star athlete in both baseball and basketball. He was married to his loving wife Kathleen (Flaherty) Reed of Portland for 61 years. They enjoyed many years living in the Portland area, where he grew up, Virginia, Alabama, for his work, and in retirement years again in Maine and Ft. Meyers, Fla. Glenn started and was very committed to his own business, Northeast Capitol Services. Glenn loved attending his grandsons sporting events. He continued his love of baseball all his life and was a long time Red Sox fan. He and Kathy took their grandsons to games often. He was a people person and loved being in the midst of it all. He enjoyed weekly card games and annual hunting trips with long-time friends. Once retired he was always up for a golf game and spent winters in Florida doing just that. Glenn was so happy with his wife and family. At his Thanksgiving toast, his love and thankfulness always shown through. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen of Westbrook; two daughters, Debra Napolitano Swenson, of South Portland, Pamela Tenney and husband, Gary Tenney of Windham; five grandsons, Samuel Napolitano of South Portland, Anthony Napolitano and his fiancé Kim Guerin of South Portland, and Luca Napolitano of Florida, Tyler Tenney of Windham, and Gary Ryan Tenney and his fiancé Bridgette Nicolay of Michigan; and two great-granddaughters, Frankie and Nora and two great-grandsons, Easton and Enzo.Glenn’s family is forever grateful for his many caregivers including Bonnie Morgan and the staff at Stroudwater Assisted Living.
