On Saturday, July 30, 2022, the MerryMeeting Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host a free day of all things fly-fishing and live music.
All can attend this event on the Brunswick Town Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will offer free fly-casting instruction, fly tying demonstrations, an aquatic insect exhibit and live music from Highway 1.
MerryMeeting Trout Unlimited will hold auctions and raffles to support its year-round focus on fishing, conservation and community.
The funds will help support MerryMeeting Bay’s annual Troup Camp, which teaches conservation ethics and practices, and fly-fishing to local youth; winter fly-casting sessions at the Brunswick Rec Center; fly-fishing workshop at Brunswick Junior High School; local river and stream connectivity projects to support coldwater fisheries.
