The Cape Elizabeth Town Council on Wednesday, Sept. 7 will hold the final of three workshops on the town’s Housing Diversity Study.
After highlighting the lack of affordable housing and brainstorming ways to create more in town at the first two workshops, the third will focus on developing a concrete strategy the town can implement going forward.
The study was purposely scheduled to finish ahead of a referendum question on the ballot this November. The referendum will decide whether to overturn amendments made by the Town Council in October 2021 that would have permitted an affordable housing project in the town center.
The workshop begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
