In a democracy, elected public officials answer to the people. I’m grateful to all the candidates who participate in forums and voter guides. The League of Women Voters of Maine‘s nonpartisan voter guide is currently online at VOTE411.org and in print. This information is in nine languages at LWVME.org/elections.

We, the electorate, often struggle to learn the positions and philosophies of the candidates we will choose to represent us. Places like coffee shops, diners, community centers and libraries that allow the printed versions to be available to the public help support citizen education and engagement. We thank them. Voter guides help everyone.
