Pamela Mower Newton 1955 – 2022 BRUNSWICK – Pamela Mower Newton, 67, took her last breath surrounded by her family on Wednesday Oct. 12, 2022. “Pam”, as she was known to those that loved her, was born on Feb. 21, 1955 in Oakland and grew up in the Waterville area. While she grew up in a house without love, she made sure that her children and those that she let in to her tight circle never knew what that felt like. After she had her first daughter, Renee, she met Joseph Newton who was her true love. They married in 1980, and a year later, had their daughter, Jennifer. The family then moved to Brunswick to care for Joseph’s mother after his father’s death in 1986. Pam and Joe were lucky enough to live next door to Joe’s brother and sister and their spouses. This gave Pam the sense of family that she had always been missing. She was very close with two of her sisters-in-law, Carol and Donna. Pam spent many years caring for her mother-in-law and many of her several grandchildren. She loved being up at camp, going fishing, and playing the slots at the casino. She will be missed by many, including life-long friends Anne, Rachel and Sonja. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Joseph; three daughters, Jennifer Temple and husband, Steven of Durham, Renee Normand of Brunswick, Judith Harrelland her husband, Michael of Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Paul Newton of Brunswick, two sisters-in-law, Donna Radjavitch and her husband, Joe of Brunswick, Joan Merrill and her husband, Jerry of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren including a grandson, Michael Harrell and his wife, Kelsey and their children Serenity and Wyatt, whom Pam was particularly close to. She was predeceased by a half-sister, Donna Woodbury; her father, Manley Mower; her mother-in-law, Florence Newton; a sister-in-law, Carol Newton; and best friend, Pat Smith Chase. The family would like to thank everyone at Mid Coast Hospital for their compassionate care during her short stay there and also everyone at the Mid Coast Medical Infusion Center where Pam had treatment for several years.
