Portland Press Herald music writer Aimsel Ponti talks with Martin Earley and Calin Peters about their new album, “Clouds” and how their recent tour is going.

About The Ballroom Thieves

Midcoast-based Ballroom Thieves is a folk-rock duo made up of Martin Earley (guitar, vocals) and Calin Peters (cello, bass, vocals). They recently released their fourth album “Clouds,” an album that explores the complex emotions and stasis of the last three years, which includes the fun, trippy track “Harry Styles.”

Over the years, Ballroom Thieves have gained acclaim and a following for their energetic live performances. A dedicated road band, “Clouds” was created in the wake of the pandemic-interrupted release of their 2020 album “Unlovely”.

Earley and Peters, who are also married, will be interviewed by Aimsel Ponti, Portland Press Herald music writer, as they prepare for a winter tour of the northeast, including a Dec. 9 show at the State Theatre. All attendees of this conversation will be entered to win a pair of tickets to the Dec. 9 show.
