Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash in Fryeburg around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

Initial reports from police said a person or persons were trapped inside a motor vehicle that crashed on Route 302 in Fryeburg near the New Hampshire state line. Lakes Region Maine Fire and Rescue tweeted that Conway, New Hampshire, Fire and Rescue provided mutual aid. Three ambulances were sent to the crash site.

A dispatcher for the Oxford County Regional Communications Center was unable to provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the accident or the severity of injuries.
