Having read Bill Nemitz’s article about the important plan for journalism here in Maine (“We need to act now to save journalism in Maine,” April 23), I feel compelled to thank Bill for spearheading the creation of the nonprofit Maine Journalism Foundation. Newspapers and reliable journalism are foundations of our democracy.
Good luck with this important endeavor, which should ensure that we, the people, will continue to have truthful reporting on the issues and events of the day.
