Last month, singer-songwriter and pianist Genevieve Stokes, a Falmouth native, released her second EP, “Catching Rabbits.”

She’s currently wrapping up a tour that winds down with a show in Los Angeles on Monday.

On May 14, Stokes played to a packed house at Portland House of Music, with many fans singing along while Stokes played songs from both of her releases, along with a freshly written one.

One of the “Catching Rabbits” tunes Stokes and her band played was “Book of Memories,” a delicate yet powerful song that shows off Stokes’ crystalline voice. The track has the ability to rattle around your heart’s chambers with lines like “I walk around my words/I don’t really know who I am/I see it all in flashes until the feeling crashes/And I do it all again.”
