Incumbent Mary Anne Mitchell edged Cheryl Miner in the race for a three-year seat on the Peaks council, 441-322.

Incumbent Gary Libby, who has served as a Portland Water District trustee for 18 years, easily won re-election Tuesday.

Libby defeated challenger Nisha Swinton, 16,881 to 9,868. He will serve as one of the city’s four elected representatives on the 11-member board, which governs water services to Portland and 10 surrounding communities.

Erno Bonnebakker, William Overlock and Daniel Doane all won uncontested elections to serve as directors of the Casco Bay Island Transit District. Anthony Alves narrowly defeated Robin Clark in the at-large director’s race, 372-333.
