CARRABASSET VALLEY — Seven-time Maine Women’s Amateur champion Abby Spector has been hired as the head golf professional at Sugarloaf Golf Club.
Spector, who graduated from Waterville Senior High School and played golf at the University of North Carolina, has worked as an assistant pro at Gasparrilla Inn and Club in Boca Grande, Fla. since 2007.
“I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to come home to Maine to work the No. 1 course in the state,” Spector said in a press release from Sugarloaf. I hope to bring my experience and enthusiasm to Sugarloaf to increase member activities and tournaments, and assist members and guest in total game improvement.”
