PORTLAND — Drama students at Deering High School will present “The Women of Lockerbie,” a one-act play, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2. Tickets are $3 at the door. Call 874-8260 for more information.
The play, by Deborah Brevoort, is inspired by the true story of a mother searching the hills of Lockerbie, Scotland, for the remains of her son, who was killed in the Pan Am Flight 103 terrorist bombing on Dec. 21, 1988. While there she meets the women of Lockerbie, who are fighting to transform an act of hatred into an act of love.
