GIRLS’ SOCCER

MARSHWOOD 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Ella Nelson scored had two goals, Rori Coomey had a goal and an assist and Kendall Lawrence made four saves as the Hawks (3-2) downed the Tigers (1-4) at Biddeford.

Biddeford’s Jillian Lewis finished with six saves.

PORTLAND 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Eliza Stein and Elizabeth Littell each scored second-half goals to lead the Bulldogs (3-1-1) past the Trojans (1-3) in Saco.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, SANFORD 3: Hattie Tetzlaff converted a penalty kick with 1:45 remaining to give the Red Riots (1-3) a win over the Spartans (1-4) in South Portland.

Tetzlaff put the Red Riots ahead in the first half and Brooklyn Ortiz made it 2-0 before Sanford answered with goals from Mia Kane, off a corner kick, and Olivia Bammel.

Bammel’s second goal of the game gave Sanford a 3-2 lead in the second half. Bella Schifano pulled the Red Riots even with 13:04 remaining.

WELLS 6, POLAND 1: Emma Badger scored in each half as the Warriors (3-2) rolled past the Knights (0-5) at Wells.

Franny Ramsdell and Grace Boucher added first-half goals, and Sarah Webb and Ruby McMinis scored in the second half.

FIELD HOCKEY

WELLS 5, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Savannah Grover scored twice for the Warriors (3-3) in a win over the Hawks (1-5) in Hiram.

Ashleigh Bolduc, Emma Cousins and Lily Clough added a goal apiece. Amanda Ring made six saves for Wells.

Sacopee’s Fiona Tucker scored in the second half. Amber Barrett made 25 saves.

BOYS’ SOCCER

KENNEBUNK 4, BONNY EAGLE 2: Max Murray scored three goals and Sam Tartre added another as the Rams (3-0-1) rolled past the Scots (2-3) at Standish.

Jeff Painchaud and Cam MacDonald scored for Bonny Eagle. Andrew Turnage and Ryan White each had an assist.

Benson Furber made eight saves in the win. Bonny Eagle keepers Ben Atkinson and Max Koons combined for 13 saves.

MARSHWOOD 6, BIDDEFORD 0: Owen Bynum collected two goals, and Trevor Wozny had a goal and two assists for the Hawks (3-1-1) in a win over the Tigers (0-5) at South Berwick.

Aidan Berman, Sam Fitzgerald and Cam Trott also scored. Peter Tsamparlis needed just two saves for the shutout.

Brady Ham stopped three shots for Biddeford.

NOBLE 2, WESTBROOK 2: Yahya Altaie converted a penalty kick for the tying goal as Westbrook (2-0-2) rallied from a two-goal deficit in the second half to earn a draw against Noble (2-2-1), at Westbrook.

Jacob Thornton also scored for Westbrook, and Logan Orr made nine saves.

Gavin Mason staked Noble to a 2-0 halftime lead with a pair of goals. Noble keeper Jared Kinsey recorded 14 saves.

PORTLAND 4, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Anselmo Tela opened the scoring in the first half, and Paulo Julio, Steve Matanga and Gabriel Panzo added second-half goals as the Bulldogs (4-1) beat the Golden Trojans (1-3) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Henry Flynn made three saves for the shutout.

Thornton’s Wyatt Light recorded nine saves.

WINDHAM 6, MASSABESIC 2: Evan Glicos scored twice, and the Eagles (1-3) got five unanswered goals in the second half to beat the Mustangs (0-5) in Windham.

Vireak Tray, Owen Flibbert and Connor Langstaff also scored for the Eagles.

Massabesic led 2-1 at halftime on two goals by Andrew Holmquist.

GOLF

KENNEBUNK BEATS NOBLE: Cole Binette shot a low medal of 40 to lead the Rams (7-0) past Noble (4-3).
