ELLSWORTH — A 32-year-old Vermont man has been sentenced to three years in prison for selling heroin in Maine.
Merton Dube, of St. Johnsbury, was among three people charged last November after police seized 70 bags of heroin at an Ellsworth apartment.
He pleaded guilty Thursday in Hancock County Superior Court to a charge of illegal importation of scheduled drugs. The Bangor Daily News reported that Dube told police he had been buying the heroin in Manchester, N.H., and selling it in the Ellsworth area.
