BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College is handing out degrees at today’s 206th graduation ceremony.
President Barry Mills is presiding over the commencement and awarding the degrees. Of the 443 graduates, 55 are from Maine. In all, graduates come from 38 states and 10 foreign countries.
The college is also awarding five honorary doctorates, including one to former Maine Gov. John Baldacci. Other recipients include Grammy Award-winning banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck, chemist and researcher Cynthia Friend, architectural history scholar Henry Millon, and filmmaker and producer Mira Nair.
