STACYVILLE— An autopsy is planned for Monday on the body of a man whose decomposed body was found last week in the northern Penobscot County town of Stacyville.
State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the body, which was found Thursday by deer hunters in woods about a mile off Route 11.
Police believe the man may have died in the past two months and are reviewing missing persons reports. The man is described as middle-aged. He was wearing a blue and white knit cap with the name “Chris” marked inside. A black, nylon soft briefcase containing clothing was found near the body.
