BATH— Kenneth V. Dolan, 74, of Congress Avenue died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath.

He was born in Morristown, N.J., on Aug. 18, 1938, a son of Edward and Eleanor K. (Melick) Dolan.

He attended New Jersey schools and graduated from high school in New Jersey. He entered the U.S. Navy and married Eleanor Goody on July 16, 1960. He was employed at Oakhurst Dairy in Bath for several years and as a salesman for Sam Prawer’s Grocery. In the 1980s he was employed at the Commissary in Topsham as a fiscal accounting clerk, retiring in the 1990s. He owned and operated Lincoln Street Market for many years.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bath and a 4th Degree at the Knights of Columbus in Bath.

He enjoyed watching sports, the Red Sox, the Patriots, fishing, gardening and shooting pool.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Dolan on Feb. 22, 2008, and one sister, Ruth Dolan Crane.

He is survived by three sons, Joseph E. Dolan of Kennebunk, David A. Dolan of Bath and Daniel L. Dolan of Bath; one daughter, Lisa A. Carlton of Bath; one sister, Vicki Schmidtt of California; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bath Fire & Rescue, 864 High St., Bath. Arrangements are by Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath.
