FREEPORT — A community charrette will be held later this month to brainstorm a permitting plan for townowned recreation space on Hunter and Pownal roads.
The charrette — described by municipal planning officials as “an intensive handson planning and design exercise” involving people from across the general community — is needed to help the town apply for a site development permit.
It is scheduled for Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Freeport Community Center on Depot Street.
Anyone planning to attend is asked to register by calling Freeport’s Town Planner Donna Larson at 865-4743 ext. 103 or by email at dlarson@freeportmaine.com.
Deadline for registration is close of business today.
