FITCHBURG, Mass. — Members of the Fitchburg State men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams were in action this weekend as they competed in the ECAC Championships at the Armory Track and Field Center.

Senior Chris Kibler of Bath continued to make his mark on the Fitchburg record books, as the distance runner surpassed his previous school record in the 3,000 meters, beating his time by six seconds. Kibler turned in a thirdplace performance, finishing with a time of 8:28.97.

The men’s distance medley relay also set a school record of 10:26.19 as Jim Quinlan, Brandon Davis, Will Lary and Kibler set the tone for the Falcons.

Select members of the Fitchburg State indoor track and field teams await their selection to the NCAA Championships this upcoming Saturday.
