MUSICIANS PERFORM at the Bowdoin International Music Festival.

BRUNSWICK

Every year, hundreds of world class musicians gather in Brunswick for the Bowdoin International Music festival. During the Festival a vast array of concerts are presented, a six-week school is in session, and there is a massive burst of energy all throughout town. “This is the Festival’s 52nd consecutive season, and we anticipate more talented individuals than ever,” said PR and Marketing Coordinator Casey Oakes. “It is a massive undertaking year after year which results in tremendous opportunities and enrichment throughout Brunswick and coastal southern Maine.”

The festival’s summer study program is always in need of local apartments and houses for our faculty and guest artists. “This year we have many new faculty members who will travel to Brunswick for the first time, and are in need of a comfortable space to call home for their three or six week stay. Providing or renting housing is an excellent way to support the local summer arts scene, encourage the development of young musicians on the Bowdoin campus, and meet members of our recognized faculty offstage,” said Director of Admissions Dan Nitsch. “And how incredible is it to have the concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic or another musical legend staying at your property? You don’t get that opportunity very often.”

If you have a space nearby, and would like to learn more about helping the Festival by renting or donating your house or apartment this summer, call Daniel Nitsch, Director of Admissions, at 207-373-1400 or email at dan@bowdoinfestival.org.
