GORHAM — The University of Southern Maine Huskies’ baseball team — the 2013 NCAA Division III runners-up — head coach Ed Flaherty, the USM baseball staff and Ryan Flaherty of the Baltimore Orioles are scheduled to host a Holiday Baseball Clinic on Dec. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. at the Costello Sports Complex in Gorham.
The clinic is available for players in grade 3-12. Players will be divided by grade level.
The cost is $50.
The fundamentals of hitting, pitching, infield and outfield will be taught. Ryan Flaherty will be available to give autographs and give insight into what helped him get to the major league level. He will also be actively teaching and working with players throughout the day. Clinic participants should bring their own bat and glove.
Led by veteran head coach Ed Flaherty, USM finished the 2013 season with an outstanding 46-10 advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championship game.
