BRUNSWICK – Sarah Berry’s goal with 1:40 left in the game lifted Mt. Ararat to a 10-9 win over Brunswick for the Eastern Class A girls lacrosse championship.
Mt. Ararat ended Brunswick’s stretch of four consecutive appearances in the Class A title game, and ended the Dragons’ reign as back-to-back Class A champions.
The Eagles (10-4) will face either Scarborough or Gorham for the state championship on Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.
Whitney Dano scored five goals for Mt. Ararat, while Eliza Halmo scored four for the Dragons (11-3).
