Albert Einstein’s most famous saying is: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
In our next mayoral election, Saco voters could choose to elect a former mayor or re-elect our current mayor. What is common between these two candidates is the fact that Saco experienced sizable tax increases during their tenure.
But this year, Saco voters have a choice of breaking this insane practice of recycling our same old mayors who have failed to keep taxes down. Saco voters have the option of voting for mayoral candidate Bette Brunswick.
Bette was a founding member of Saco Citizens for Sensible Government. This nonpartisan committee is dedicated to keeping Saco’s officials fiscally accountable in order to keep taxes under control.
Now, wouldn’t electing a mayor who is dedicated to fiscal responsibility be the smart thing to do for a change?
