Advertising Sales Assistant – Press Herald
The Portland Press Herald is a seeking an Advertising Sales Assistant to support our busy advertising department.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the sales staff in all areas including order entry, client communication, and contract maintenance
- Ad entry in our CRM system
- Coordinating with the finance department to assist sales reps with account setup and processing
- Updating contracts and rate agreements
- Communication with other departments to ensure ads are entered correctly and meet deadlines
- Assist with billing/order entry issues and adjustments
- Answer sales calls while salespeople are out of the office
Our Ideal Candidate has/is:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior customer service
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to learn rate programs including simple math calculates such as cost per thousand, cost per inch, and cost per line
- Keen attention to detail and time management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with speed and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills
