Advertising Sales Assistant – Press Herald

The Portland Press Herald is a seeking an Advertising Sales Assistant to support our busy advertising department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the sales staff in all areas including order entry, client communication, and contract maintenance
  • Ad entry in our CRM system
  • Coordinating with the finance department to assist sales reps with account setup and processing
  • Updating contracts and rate agreements
  • Communication with other departments to ensure ads are entered correctly and meet deadlines
  • Assist with billing/order entry issues and adjustments
  • Answer sales calls while salespeople are out of the office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior customer service
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to learn rate programs including simple math calculates such as cost per thousand, cost per inch, and cost per line
  • Keen attention to detail and time management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with speed and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
