The house at 471 Main St. sat empty for years before students from the Biddeford Regional Center of Technology renovated it with help from the local Rotary Club. After two years of work, it will be sold.

Second-year technology center students worked on renovating the house while first-year students built the garage.
Before the remodel, the kitchen had dark cabinets, yellow paint and a linoleum floor. The new kitchen is much brighter with white cabinets.

The sunroom looks out to the yard and features floors salvaged from the original house.
A large deck is just steps away from the detached garage.
The upstairs bathroom is awaiting sink fixtures but features a full tub and shower.
Students at the Center of Technology who worked on the house, including refinishing this small bedroom, come from Biddeford High School, Old Orchard Beach High School, Thornton Academy and Kennebunk High School.
Students will next work on a donated house at 518 Main St. in Biddeford.
Engineering students redesigned the layout of the three-bedroom house, electrical students updated the wiring, and students in the plumbing and heating program helped take the house from its studs to fully functional.
