Dedomenico gets set to hop off the trash truck. He said he has picked up many unusual items over the years including a boat that someone had been using for a garden.

Dedomenico throws a bag of trash into the truck as he holds a discarded Christmas tree. Dedomenico has worked for Portland Public Works for four years. He said on some post-Christmas days he may pick up as many as 60 Christmas trees .
