"Lobster Fishermen," 1940–41, oil on hardboard (masonite), 29 by 40 inches, from "Marsden Hartley's Maine" at Colby.
Hartley's 1907 oil painting "Shady Brook" is on loan from the Lewiston Public Library for "Marsden Hartley's Maine," coming to Colby College in July. It is believed to have been inspired by a scene in western Maine.
