Scarborough School Board contemplates new cellphone policy
Over 400 community members, largely Scarborough parents, signed a petition to implement a bell-to-bell cellphone ban at the schools. A petition signed by over 380 students opposes this.
Scarborough committee releases resident survey on new school project
The online version of the survey must be completed by March 3 while a physical copy is available to pick up at Town Hall and Scarborough Public Library with a due date of Feb. 28.
South Portland’s leaf blower ban won’t apply to residents, businesses
Some councilors originally in favor of the ban said they received aggressive and threatening calls and emails leading up to the vote, but emphasized it was the majority of residents who expressed their opposition respectfully who swayed their votes.
