Class A: Scarborough (15-0-2) vs. Mt. Ararat (15-1-1) 10 a.m. at Hampden Academy

Scarborough is making its first appearance in a state final since winning back-to-back titles in 2008 and 2009. Chris Cleary anchors the defense for the Red Storm, while Wyatt Omsberg, who played for Messalonskee in last season’s state final, usually controls the middle of the field.

The versatile Will Hirnak leads Mt. Ararat into its first trip to the state final since losing to Scarborough 1-0 in 2003.

Class B: Camden Hills (14-1-2) vs. Falmouth (12-3-2), 3 p.m. at Scarborough HS

This is a rematch of last season’s state final in which Falmouth was a 2-1 victor. The defending state champions are seeking their ninth state title in 12 seasons. Falmouth’s J.P. White is extremely dangerous on set plays, and Ian McBrady and Cooper Lycan are hard to handle inside the box.

Camden Hills is led by Colin Morse and Peter Vannorsdale.

Class C: Houlton (14-2-1) vs Hall-Dale (16-0-1) 10 a.m. at Scarborough HS

Hall-Dale has outscored its opponents by a 114-4 margin to advance to the first state final. Zack McNaughton, Nat Crocker and Colin Lush have scored the bulk of the Bulldogs’ goals.

Led by Jimmy Fitzpatrick’s 38 goals, Houlton is making its second consecutive appearance in the state final. Last season, Waynflete eked out a 2-1 double-overtime win over Houlton.

Class D: Greenville (10-7) vs. Bangor Christian (17-0) 3 p.m. at Hampden Academy

Powerhouse Bangor Christian is seeking its fourth consecutive state championship in a rematch of last season’s state final. After allowing four goals in their first three games, the Patriots have posted 14 consecutive shutouts. They beat the Lakers 4-2 in the 2011 championship game.

After forfeiting its first five games because of the use of an ineligible player, Greenville has won 10 of its last 12 games to advance to the state final.

GIRLS

Class A: Bangor (16-1) vs. Scarborough (15-1-1) 12:30 p.m. at Hampden Academy

These two teams are meeting in the state final for the third consecutive year. Last fall, Bangor rolled to a 4-0 win to claim its first state championship. In 2010, the Red Storm blanked the Rams, 3-0.

Bangor is strong offensively, outscoring its opponents 85-13, while Scarborough has relied on a defense that has allowed four goals all season while posting 13 shutouts.

Class B: Hermon (15-2) vs. Falmouth (13-2-2) 5:30 p.m. at Scarborough HS

Falmouth is vying for its third consecutive state championship. A defense that has allowed nine goals all season and an opportunistic offense has enabled the Yachtsmen to make their eighth appearance in a state final in 12 seasons.

Hermon, which outscored its opponents 55-8 during the regular season and posted shutouts in its three playoff games, its making its first trip to a state title game.

Class C: Waynflete (11-2-4) vs. Fort Kent (13-3-1) 12:30 p.m. at Scarborough HS

Waynflete is making its first appearance in the state final since winning its first Class C championship in 2008. During the regular season, the Flyers relied on a solid defense to keep them in games, but Waynflete has outscored its three opponents in the playoffs by an 8-2 margin.

Fort Kent, which is making its second trip to the title game in three seasons, has outscored its opponents 50-19.

Class D: Richmond (15-0-1) vs. Washburn (15-1-1) 5:30 p.m. at Hampden Academy

Richmond is seeking its third consecutive state championship. The Bobcats are exceptionally strong at both ends of the field and have outscored opponents 102-4.

Washburn, which outscored opponents 60-14, is making its first appearance in a state final.
