Westbrook’s planning director is resigning for personal reasons.

Molly Just, who has worked for the city for eight years, is leaving the position on Dec. 4 because of personal family needs, according to an announcement made Monday by City Administrator Jerre Bryant.

Bryant and Mayor Colleen Hilton praised Just for her leadership and professionalism.

In a prepared statement, Just spoke of her admiration and respect for city staff and said she was saddened to leave.

The position will be filled temporarily by Jennie Franceschi through a contract with the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District, Bryant said.
