A 25-year-old Bowdoin man was killed in a single car crash Saturday morning on Main Street in Bowdoin.
Sagadahoc County Deputy Sheriff Brett Strout said Adam Moore of 297 West Road was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup truck on Main Street near Pond Road when the truck left the road at about 5 a.m. at a hill crest and struck a tree. No other people or vehicles were involved. Moore died at the crash scene.
Bath Police are helping to investigate the cause of the crash. Main Street was shut down while police reconstructed the crash but it is now open.
Strout said it appears speed may have been a factor. He said he did not know if Moore was wearing a seat belt.
