If you believe in science-backed reality and are concerned that climate change is not only the most important issue facing the U.S. but all humanity, you already know that 187 U.S. House members and senators (fully one third of the legislative branch) are climate change deniers. Every one of them is a Republican.

You have the power to “make Congress work again” Nov. 8 by helping to throw out do-nothing Republicans, including 2nd District U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin, climate change denier.

More locally, you can tell Augusta, and especially Paul LePage, that public policy must strongly support moving to renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Vote for candidates (mostly Democratic) who understand science and will work to make Maine a reliable contributor to meeting our national Paris accord commitments for greenhouse gas reductions.
