PORTLAND — The Cadillac Moon Ensemble, which features Maine native and flutist Roberta Michel, will present a program of contemporary music exploring the concept of motion in its many different forms at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at Woodfords Congregational Church, 202 Woodfords St.

The Cadillac Moon Ensemble consists of Sean Statser, Meaghan Burke, Roberta Michel and Patti Kilroy.

The concert will be presented by the Portland String Quartet.
The quartet also includes violinist Patti Kilroy, cellist Meaghan Burke and percussionist Sean Statser.
The Cadillac Moon Ensemble has commissioned and premiered more than 50 works from emerging composers. The group released its first CD in September.
Michel was a winner in the Portland String Quartet's High School Competition, and performed with the quartet as a high school student.
