BANGOR — A Maine man has been sentenced to five years in prison for possession of child pornography.
Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Jacob Rogeski of Fort Fairfield was sentenced Friday, after pleading guilty in August.
Court documents say investigators learned than an internet user with an IP address assigned to Rogeski was downloading child pornography. Federal prosecutors say Rogeski admitted that he had searched on a peer-to-peer file sharing program and downloaded images and videos of child pornography.
Prosecutors say a forensic examination of his computer found over 100 video files and 400 image files of child pornography.
The court also ordered the computer equipment used to download, store and view the child pornography to be forfeited.
